Terms of Service
Last updated: 4 November 2026
Calibre is a work tool that an organisation signs up for on behalf of its team. These terms set out the rules it is used under.
In short: your account comes from the organisation you work for and is yours alone; what you upload belongs to that organisation; the service is run with every care but without a promise that it will never fail. Nothing below takes away rights the law gives you.
What Calibre is and who uses it
Calibre is a system for recording and tracking facility maintenance: jobs, hours, costs and notices. It is provided as a service to organisations —clubs, sports complexes, companies— that make it available to their staff.
There is no public sign-up. Using Calibre requires an account created by the organisation that runs it, and that organisation decides who gets in, with which role, and for how long.
Using the app or the site means you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.
Your account
- The account is personal. Do not share it or hand your sign-in details to anyone else, not even a colleague on the next shift.
- You are responsible for what is done from your account. That is why every entry is signed with your name.
- If you suspect someone knows your password, change it and tell whoever administers Calibre at your organisation.
- The details you enter about yourself must be accurate. An email address that is not yours leaves the account with no way to be recovered.
Acceptable use
Calibre is for the work it was signed up for. Specifically, you may not:
- Access, or try to access, data belonging to another area, another organisation or another account that is not yours.
- Probe, force or exploit security flaws. If you find one, tell us: write to soporte@usecalibre.app and we will fix it.
- Download content in an automated way, or use bots or scrapers to extract data from the system.
- Copy, decompile or alter the software, except where the law allows it and that allowance cannot be waived.
- Upload unlawful or defamatory material, anything unrelated to the work, or photographs of people who did not agree to be photographed for this.
- Place artificial load on the server or otherwise interfere with the service for everyone else.
The content you upload
The jobs, comments, hours, costs and photos uploaded are the organisation's maintenance record and belong to it, not to Calibre. We do not use them for anything else: not for advertising, not for statistics, and not for training systems of any kind.
All we do with that content is what is needed to run the service: store it, show it to those with permission, back it up and, where necessary, repair it after a technical problem.
When an account is closed, what that person uploaded stays, because it is part of the organisation's record. Privacy explains this in more detail.
The mobile app
The app is downloaded from the App Store or Google Play and is free: no in-app purchases, no subscriptions. Downloading it also means accepting the terms of the store you took it from, which are Apple's or Google's and not ours.
Downloading it does not grant access on its own. Without an account created by an organisation, the only thing you can see is a tournament's public bracket by entering its code.
Availability
We take every care to keep the service up and the data backed up, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted. A power cut, a provider failure, a network problem or a maintenance window can take it offline for a while.
Improvements and fixes are released without prior notice. If a change significantly alters how the system is used, we announce it inside the app.
Suspension and closure
The organisation running Calibre may close your account or change its permissions at any time; that decision is theirs and is settled there.
On our side, we may suspend access if we detect use that puts the security of the service or other people's data at risk. Where the urgency allows, we give notice first; if not, we give notice as soon as we can and explain why.
Commercial terms
Price, billing and the length of the service are agreed separately with the organisation that signs up, and are not governed by this page. If you work there, you are not charged anything to use Calibre.
Liability
Calibre is a record-keeping tool: it helps organise the work, but it does not replace the judgement of the person doing it. Maintenance, safety and spending decisions are made by the organisation and are its responsibility.
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, loss of profit, or damage arising from an interruption of the service or from data loss caused by something outside our control.
This does not limit our liability for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, nor any consumer rights that cannot be waived. If you use Calibre as a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or anywhere else whose law gives you broader protection, that protection still applies regardless of anything stated here.
Privacy
What data is handled, what for, who it is shared with and how to ask for it to be deleted is set out in the privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Argentine law. If you are a consumer, you may bring a claim before the courts where you live and you keep the protections of the law of your country of residence.
Changes
If these terms change, the date in the header is updated. If the change is significant, we announce it inside the app with reasonable notice. Continuing to use the service after that counts as acceptance.
